Improving Projection Presentation
Here is an opportunity for people to suggest ways of improving projection presentation. Please feel free to add or edit any other ideas.
The Commandments
These commandments are to be followed religously until the end of october
- Start each show with a determination to do the show the best you can.
- Before starting the show read the notes in the making up book
- Before lacing read the masking tape
- Before lacing check the leader is the correct way round & spliced the correct way round, and check the leader to ensure that it is the correct reel of the correct film.
- Once you've finished lacing, walk away from the projector take 10 sec, come back and check your lacing
- Before starting / changeover check your lacing again
- When checking your lacing talk your self through the film path aloud
- After changing over, stay with the projector for 5 mins
- Remain down the other end to rewind the film for the minimum amount of time possible. The rest of the time, remain near the projectors, watching the show.
- Do not do trailer changes or repair reels during a show
