The IT Officer (currently Adam Skrzymowski and Josh Heng) is in charge of the WSC IT systems (most notably, the society website). The role was originated in 1999 by Peter Oliver, although it had existed on an informal basis in previous years.

Current constitutional responsibilities

  • Has overall responsibility for the IT needs of WSC.
  • Oversees maintenance and development of the society's hardware and software (including the website).
  • Maintains and moderates all mailing lists not done by other Exec members.
  • Ensures that all FoH systems are maintained and all tickets are ready.
  • First point of contact in light of an IT related problem.
  • Liaises with the Students Union's IT services.
  • Allocates e-mail addresses and sorts out all aliases.
  • Monitors the free film allowance of members of the IT committee.
