Dell SAS 6/iR HBA – SATA I support is disabled! By default, our non-Dell drives are throttled to 1.5 Gb/s instead of the 3.0 Gb/s SATA II supported by both the drives and the HBA, unless the HBA is prevented from negotiating the slower speed. Lsiutil can be used to re-enable this if we ever *really* want to use ancient drives with no SATA II support.
