You will first need to enable 2-Step Verification on your Google account (you can turn this off afterwards). This may log you out of some of the places you are currently signed in to.

  1. Go to the 2-Step Verification page. You might have to sign in to your Google Account.
  2. In the "2-Step Verification" box on the right, select Start setup.

You then need to create an app specific password

  1. Visit your App passwords page. You may need to log into Google again.
  2. In the Select app dropdown menu choose Mail and in the Select device dropdown choose Windows Computer, then click Generate.
  3. Make a note of the 16 digit number, this is the app password you will use later.

You now need to add your filmsoc email as an alias

  1. Go to https://gmail.com/ and log into your email inbox.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right hand corner, then click on Settings, Accounts and Import, Add another email address.
  3. A box should appear titled Gmail - Add another email address that you own. Enter your name and desired email address into the relevant boxes, make sure to untick Treat as an alias, then click Next step.
  4. Type smtp.gmail.com in the SMTP server box and make sure the Port is set to 587. Type your gmail username (i.e. everything before the @ in your gmail address) into the Username box, and then paste the app password you generated earlier into the Password box. Select Secured connection using TLS, then click Add Account.

Once you've done this, you should now be able to send emails as your WSC email, and you should be fine to remove 2-Step Verification from your gmail account.
